It was an immense pleasure to participate in the 54th Symphony Designers’ Showhouse that showcases exceptionally designed spaces from competitively selected designers, while supporting music and the arts in Kansas City.
The event, which benefits the Kansas City Symphony, offered me the opportunity to create two living rooms that welcomed both historic home enthusiasts and patrons of the arts. As a sponsor and a designer, I planned, coordinated and executed the exhibits serving the needs of both the Kansas City Symphony Alliance and the homeowners.
Hand-applied murals enriched and transformed the spaces. A curated selection of luxury furnishings, on loan from generous showrooms, brought energy and livability to the rooms. Trusted contractors, sourced from my network, contributed to the charitable effort and the caliber of execution. Behind the scenes, I directed the installations, ensuring a seamless result. It was a delight to engage tour guests with creative design solutions while revisiting a home with kitchen cabinets I had previously designed.
